1. How old are you?
A: Turning 21 in 4 days 

2. What position do you play?

A: Outside/right side/DS

3. Are you currently in or going to college? If so what school are you/will you be attending?

A: I play for North Carolina Wesleyan College 

4. What got you into volleyball?

A: I played almost every sport i could and once i started playing volleyball for the first time i just didn’t want to stop. So i stopped all other sports and played year round 

5. Who is your role model?

A:  You are actually my role model 😂 (I am flattered)

6. As an athlete what challenges do you face on the court?

A: Sometimes if i get in my head it can be hard to focus on the next ball. A lot better since i started playing college ball. 

7.  Have you ever been injured while playing? If so what did you injure and what was your recovery process?

A: Yes i have, my 15s yeah i shattered my growth plate after landing on the side of my ankle from a back row attack. I’ve twisted both knees 2 times while swing blocking (separate occasions), rolled ankles, and my rotator cuff has been irritating me for years cause of swinging. 

8. Do you find it hard to be in a relationship while in season?

A:  Actually no, i have done this my freshman and sophomore year and my boyfriend was very supportive. He is also an athlete at my college playing basketball. 

9. What number are you and why?

A: I was number 7 my whole life because my first sport i played i was 7 years old and that number was my lucky number. My college number is 4 because an upperclassman had 7. But i liked it for a new chapter.

10. Where are you from?

A: I’m from Atlanta, Ga 

11. Would you consider playing overseas?
A: I would love to play over seas. Honestly don’t know if my body could take it but it would be such an amazing opportunity i couldn’t pass up. 

12. What position do you feel is the hardest to play?

A:  Honestly, I would consider either middle or setter to have the hardest job on the court. I say middle because i was a middle for a very long time and switching to outside was completely different. 

13. What do your workouts consist of?

A: I like to warm up w a mile run and begin the work outs that are sent to us by our coach. For the hitters we focus a lot of our legs and shoulder. We do more explosive exercises and quick feet for speed. 

14. How often do you workout during the week?

A: Usually Monday-Friday and my weekend off 

15. Do you take protein supplements? If so why? 

A: No i do not take protein supplements. 

16. Have you ever thought about quitting? 

A: Yes, after my senior season of high school i wasn’t sure if i wanted to only based on school. I was studying biomedical sciences at the time and have switched to exercise science 

17. How do you handle adversity?

A: Of course while i was younger it was hard, but as I’ve gotten older & mainly since college it’s been so much easier. Changed my attitude from being mad to eager and wanting more.
